Additional Benefits
- This scholarship is a competitive scholarship to support one high-achieving, first-generation college-bound student in the Park City School District.
- You must demonstrate a financial need.
- You may be asked to meet with a member of the selection committee for an interview.
- Once a student is awarded the scholarship, up to $10,000 per year will be paid to the school they are attending, for a maximum of $40,000. The payout does not need to be in consecutive years. Any request to defer the Scholarship grant to later years must be requested and approved in writing by the Selection Committee.
- In order to receive the scholarship in subsequent years, an awardee must maintain a 3.0 GPA while enrolled in college.
Eligibility Requirements:
- In the first generation in your family to attend college upon high school graduation
- Attended PCHS for two or more years
- Unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Accepted to a 4-year college in the US
- Passed or currently passing at least 5 AP or honors courses during your 4 years of high school
- Demonstrated leadership in an organization as part of the PCHS or greater Park City community
- Verifiable financial need

How to Apply:
- Gather all required documents listed below
- Complete the application form
Documents you will need to submit with your application:
- your transcript showing your GPA
- acceptance letter from the 4-year accredited university or college you plan to attend
- Letters of Recommendation
- A letter from a teacher of a core subject (math, English, science)
- A letter from a supervisor, administrator, coach, etc. of an organization in which you have been in a leadership role. This letter should address (1) the personal impact you have had on the organization, (2) how you have dealt with challenges or stressful situations, and (3) your tenacity.
- A letter from a teacher of a core subject (math, English, science)
- A signed Statement of Support from your parent or guardian. A blank form is included in the application.
- Financial documents
- Letter of financial assistance offered by the school you plan to attend if applicable
- A college budget, such as the Bright Futures College Budget or similar document, if applicable
- Sources of funding such as merit scholarships, private scholarships, grants, etc.
- Your FAFSA application, if applicable
- Letter of financial assistance offered by the school you plan to attend if applicable
- Essay
- “Why is a college education important to you and how will you use it to make your community a better place?” (500 words max)
