Bright Futures Scholarship Information for First Year Students

General Info:

Bright Futures students who meet scholarship requirements will receive a minimum yearly scholarship award of $1,000, up to a maximum of four years, while enrolled in college.
Awardees must be enrolled in a postsecondary school within three years of graduating from PCHS or the awarded funds are forfeited.
Awards are committed only for the upcoming school year.

Eligibility Requirements:

Cumulative weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher, or approved exemption
Accepted to an accredited 2-year or 4-year accredited post-secondary school or certificate program and planning to attend full time.
Attended one or more college campus visit during high school
Applied to three or more scholarships in addition to the Bright Futures scholarship
Met Bright Futures high school program requirements for attendance, participation, and communication.
Participated in an extracurricular club, program, team or activity in high school
Completed spring college budget review meeting with Bright Futures coach
Attended or volunteered at a Bright Futures Summer Academy event.

Image of your transcript showing your most recent cumulative High School GPA *Remember to request copy of your transcript well in advance of deadline.
Copy of your 4 year college budget
Image of any scholarship award covering full tuition and fees, such as For Utah, Utah Promise, Wildcat Dream, SLCC Promise, Griffin Scholarship, First Ascent Business Scholars, Daniels Fund Scholarship, etcetera
